The hunting operation is run out of the three drive to base camps and “pack in” spike camps. The fall hunting season starts September 15th for elk, deer, bear, lions and wolves. These hunts are any weapon allowing the clients to rifle hunt for bugling elk during the rut. Business has guaranteed outfitter tags for elk ensuring that you can get elk tags for the hunters you book.

The Historic Lodge at Paradise
The base camp at Paradise has over 100 years of outfitting history and has facilities that are very unique for a permitted camp. Featured in Outdoor Idaho’s “Where the Road Ends” segment the Lodge at Paradise is a one of a kind facility. The camp is a drive to camp along the Selway Wild and Scenic River located approximately 50 miles from Darby, Montana at the end of the road for the put in to the Selway. The road and the camp itself are within a designated non-wilderness corridor surrounded on all sides by the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness. The camp features a gourmet kitchen / dining room with hot and cold running water, a shower facility, 5 well-appointed guest cabins, staff housing, covered packing deck, grain and shop tent, shoeing area and steel horse pens with running water.
The Historic Kit Carson Base Camp
Kit Carson Base Camp is a year round drive to base camp located a short distance from the Magruder Corridor Road approximately 8 miles from the Idaho / Montana boarder adjacent to Deep Creek. Named because Kit Carson stayed at this location during his trapping excursions into Idaho. The camp is located within a non-wilderness corridor surrounded by wilderness. The camp has a beautiful kitchen and dining tent, 3 guest tents, 2 staff tents, tack / shop tent, and shower and bath tent.
Hell's Half drive to Base Camp
The Hell’s Half Acre Base camp is another end of the road drive to base camp located within a non-wilderness corridor surrounded by wilderness. It is a seasonal camp with permanent hitch rails, feed bunks, stock water system and outhouse. An excellent cold water spring located just outside the kitchen tent provides this camp with fresh spring water. It is a picture perfect base camp.
Hell’s Half Base Camp is located approximately 8 miles from the Magruder Corridor about 1 mile from the Hell’s Half Lookout.
Back Country pack in Camps
There are approximatly 50 permitted camps in the operation that enable the business to conduct back country trips to fit any skill level, season and activity. The camps span the operating area and are located in different settings and elevations. From beautiful creek side settings to High alpine meadows and lakes.
